Good morning kids..

Did not get up as early as we would have hoped. Wanted to run by Kensington Palace and the Gardens to possibly catch the Dutchess of Windsor and Oprah, but caught an extra half hour of sleep instead. Incredible shower. Must have one inch pipe in the walls. Room is very small, almost impossible for two people to get ready at the same time. The bed is just a full size. Very nice though, marble bathroom with a mirror that doesn't fog up in the 1 foot area where your face would be. How do the Brits do that?

Some more Tube Photos

Everthing in the room is wired 220v. All newer electronics have dual voltage and you just need an adapter plug. Curling iron, heats up in 2 seconds. Everything that is plugged in and needs multiple plugs is far less attractive and needs much more space. Instead of two plug-ins there are only one at a time because the plug is so huge. We bought cell phones yesterday and they plug is 3X's as big as the phone. Most of the box is for the plug. The phones here are cheap. For about $40 you get two phones and lots of minutes to call the US. You just by pay as you go cards or add more money (top up) the cards. You can switch plans 5X's a day if you want to. Or buy the better card when they are on sale. The card has a chip and you punch it out and slip it inside your phone.

The grocery stores have excellent food. The choice of pre-made pasteries and food is exceptional. No Oscar Meyer or Dolly Madison. The in-store brand is amazing. At about 4:00 they mark everything fresh down, so you can get all kinds of food like a sandwich for 65 cents. We stopped in and got a snack which was prawn mayonaise. Instead of "tuna salad," you would ask for tuna mayonaise. The packaged baked goods are amazing. You get beautiful pastries that are decorated etc., like we would get Twinkies in the US. There is no comparison.
