First day in the Cotswolds

Our first day in western England saw us touring the grounds of our hotel. Very beautiful and historical.

We headed out on the little country roads to explore as many towns as possible. We went right next door to Wotten-Under-Edge. Cute little town as are all of these towns in the Cotwolds. Very hard to look at a map because there can be 5 towns in a space of three miles. A town can be one main street with amazing old houses that stretch on for 1/4 mile.
Stopped and had a little breakfast at a small bake shop. Their old fireplace had the cover for a tomb bricked into the mantle area. This had only been recently discovered when they tore down a wall in a remodel.
Katie had coffee creme cake and I had strawberry jam creme cake.

We traveled through Wotten, Kingscote, Beverston, Tetbury, Cromhall and Heathend. Very small towns.

Katie thought these sheep were so cuddly looking she could just walk up and hold one. No.
